The companies range from micro start-ups to local multi-nationals with a strong emphasis on the ICT Sector. The training network evolved from the promoter organisation, the Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway (itag).
itag Skillnet’s primary objective is to strengthen and develop the ICT sector by improving the skills of the talent pool and reducing training costs through the delivery of bespoke enterprise-led training and learning programmes. To date, itag Skillnet has trained over 7,000 employees from member companies.
itag Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and our member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
itag is a non-profit tech association whose mission is to develop technology innovation along the AtlanTec Gateway. As leaders in tech collaboration, we connect members through networking events, tech talks, social events and by hosting upskilling opportunities through itag Skillnet for leadership and future skills development. We collaborate with third level institutions, government agencies, professional bodies and international partners, to drive our members’ shared commitment to the ongoing sustainable development of our tech community.
itag Skillnet primarily focuses on supporting those in employment within the technology sector. Whilst our key focus is on the needs of member companies, we also offer a small number of fully-funded programmes for jobseekers, subject to eligibility criteria and places being available on the programme.
We offer a limited number of FREE places to those who are unemployed and seeking to increase their employment prospects through up-skilling in relevant training. If you are currently unemployed, you may be eligible to attend free training impact on your social welfare payments or benefits (for those who are in receipt of such payments).
