Cyber Security Bootcamp
ITAG Skillnet and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in conjunction with DSP present a Job Seekers Support Programme (JSSP) Cyber Security Bootcamp commencing April 2016.
Candidates will be trained, assessed and tested throughout the boot camp and candidates will receive a placement in HPE Ballybrit, Galway state of the art innovation centre after completing the training syllabus. Workplace functions will include Cyber Defense, Cyber Security application support & Service Desk front line Technical support, mentoring, and much more.

The program is targeted at job seekers with limited IT background who have a proactive positive attitude, are capable of working independently or as part of a cross functional team, possess good written and verbal communication skills. General knowledge and understanding of Information Technology Infrastructures would be an advantage but not necessary.

- Infrastructure Fundamentals
- Cyber Security
- Networking
- Linux & Unix fundamentals
Personal Development
The training will be provided by the ITAG Skillnet, HPE and leading IT trainers.
Suitable for Job Seekers on the live register for 3 months + and approved by the Department of Social Protection (DSP)
- Those interested in working in the software sector
- Those who already possess some IT Skills, qualifications or experience
- Those who would like to develop their careers as support engineers in the fast growing Cyber Security environment
- Based in the West or those able to travel to Galway for training and internship
Duration:
The programme involves nine weeks training and an additional work placement on JSSP/Jobsbridge depending on eligibility.
