Abstract
Business transformation is both a requirement and enabler to emerge successfully from the global economic crisis. This webinar will look at degree to which business transformation is now underway across Europe.
It will differentiate between the transformation that is required to respond to the immediate economic crisis, e.g., organisational restructuring and cost cutting, and the more long-term strategic transformation that is required, e.g. sustainable development and global economic power shifts and rebalancing.
It will also look at the role of ICT in enabling and supporting business transformation and review the role of :
- New collaborative models both within organisations and across global supply chains and related cloud computing models
- The explosion in global and, in particular, mobile communication
- The rise of social media and Web 2.0
- New software development models enabling rapid system change and delivery of new functionality
- The emergence of outsourcing, locally and far-shore, as a standard approach to business optimisation
