Following the success of our 2006 awards, ITAG has announced details of this years awards which will take place in the Meyrick Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway on Friday 2nd of November 2007.  In it’s third year, the ITAG Awards provides an opportunity to recognise some of the leading technology companies and individuals within ITAG whose innovation and successes are driving the IT Industry in the West of Ireland.
 The Awards Ceremony is also an opportunity to connect, network, socialise, and to meet with up and coming’ technology companies.

Industry Award Categories 2007


1. ICT Management Professional of the Year
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in the management of Information & Communication Technologies, or a related discipline, within their company.

2. Young IT Practitioner of the Year
This award recognises outstanding achievement(s) by an individual working within the IT sector.  To be eligible for the award, the individual must have a maximum of five years IT
industry experience.

3. Technology Sales & Marketing Campaign of theYear
Awarded to a company, organisation or department who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in technology sales and marketing.

4. IT Research and Development
Awarded to an individual or team who have made an outstanding contribution to the R&D function within their company or within the wider industry in general.

5. Schools Initiative Award - sponsored by Hewlett Packard
Awarded to an individual, school or group who have shown significant initiative in the deployment of ICT infrastructure and applications in education, at first or second level.

6. Emerging ICT Company
Awarded to a company that is less than 4 years in existence and that has demonstrated significant growth, innovation, excellence, and future potential over the course of its short
history.

7. Academic Contribution to ICT in Galway
Awarded to an individual or group within an academic institution who have made a notable contribution to Information and Communication Technology in Galway.

8. Outstanding Contribution to the Galway ICT Sector
Awarded to an individual in recognition of their consistent and valued contribution to the Information and Communications Technology sector in Galway.

9. IT Project of the Year
Awarded to a company / group in recognition of the successful implementation of a significant and innovative IT project.  The project will have a profound effect on the internal processes and
/ or operations of the company, or alternatively on that of its customer(s).

10. ICT Company of the Year
Awarded to a company in recognition of excellence in all aspects of their business; including product / service development, sales & marketing, implementation & support, market growth /market positioning, and human resource
