ITAG's mission is to promote, strengthen and grow the information technology
industry in the West of Ireland. ITAG is built on three core principles:

We strive to develop a highly skilled IT workforce to benefit both existing
businesses and to attract new ones. Our goal is to foster the continued growth
of a strong IT cluster in the Galway region, through networking and training

ITAG Skillnet is a network of over 50 companies involved in the IT sector in
the Galway area. The companies range from micro start-ups to local
multi-nationals with a strong IT emphasis.
ITAG Skillnet’s primary objective is to strengthen and develop the IT sector in
Galway by improving competitiveness and reducing training costs, with
investment in employees through tailored training and learning
programmes.

Job-seekers Support Programme (JSSP) - Hewlett Packard/ITAG Skillnet
ITAG Skillnet and Hewlett Packard take part in Job-seekers Support Programme (JSSP). This initiative is aimed solely at unemployed people and includes free training in skills in demand by companies combined with direct access to employers through meaningful work placements.

The ITAG Awards 2012-2013 have been moved to Friday 22nd of March 2013.

The ITAG Awards aims to promote and recognize outstanding innovative technology and applications. It also encourages practitioners to develop creative ICT solutions for a better life and uplifts the professional image of Galway and the West of Ireland's technology industry both locally and internationally.
Through ITAG, the IT sector in Galway has been mobilised to play its role in shaping the future development of the region, both economically and socially.
